Membership Categories
GhanaProNet has four membership categories, described below:

  • Executive
  • Associate
  • General
  • Corporate

Executive Members

Executive members are those who: have been in good standing for at least one (1) year as Associates; have actively participated in the planning and execution of at least two (2) GhanaProNet events; are recommended by an existing Executive member; are appointed by the CEO and approved by the Board of Directors; and uphold the mission, vision, and values of GhanaProNet.

Benefits of being an Executive member include: chairing a standing committee; being a part of policy making and decision making; having a vote; eligibility to be a Board member; and free admission to programs and events.

Associate Members

Associate members consist of those who have completed a membership application and have been approved by the Executive Management.�  Associates also sign a Memorandum of Agreement, a Non-Compete Agreement, and a pledge to uphold the mission, vision, and values of GhanaProNet. Finally, Associates are familiar with the organization�s constitution and affiliate themselves with up to two standing committees.

Associate members are entitled to become members of up to two committees, discounts to events and programs, eligibility for Executive membership; free website publicity for good and services, all privileges accorded to General members.

General Members

General members are those who: subscribe to GhanaProNet�s email and contact list; utilize GhanaPronet�s resources and services (including the website); attend GhanaProNet events; and uphold the mission, vision, and values of GhanaProNet.

The benefits of being a General member include: access to information about goods and services relevant to professionals; contributing to and participating in online discussions; discounts to events and programs; as well as receiving newsletters and announcements.

Corporate members

Corporate members include groups, businesses, and establishments that: have paid a non-refundable application fee and been approved by the Executive Management; pay annual dues determined by the Executive Management; share a common vision with GhanaProNet; adhere to the mission, vision, and values of GhanaProNet and participate in GhanaProNet events. Corporate members may volunteer their skills in exchange for publicity.

Corporate members will be entitled to discounts to events and programs; discounts as vendors at events and programs; and free listing on GhanaProNet�s website.

All members of GhanaProNet are eligible to submit literature for publication and are expected to abide by the guidelines set forth by each category of membership and the entirety of the organization�s constitution.

Join a Committee
Committees enable members to direct their skills and talents towards specific areas of interest and passion. The distribution ultimately enhances the overall mission and vision of GhanaProNet. There are currently six standing committees.

  • Development
  • Event Planning
  • Finance
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Public Relations

Development Committee

The Development Committee is primarily responsible for establishing outlets through which GhanaProNet and its members contribute to humanitarianism. The committee scouts for worthy causes to support. It also gives visibility to ideas and initiatives that are hinged on the potential to provide sustainable opportunities and benefits for those outside the economic and political mainstream.

One of the major goals of the committee is to set in place a foundation for philanthropic outreach and endeavors through the GhanaProNet Development Fund.

Under the leadership of the Director of Development, members of the Development Committee will:

  • Assist in drafting developmental projects that are socially, economically, politically, culturally, and environmentally relevant to human development.

  • Identify development trends, fundraising strategies, and other complimentary areas.

  • Identify ongoing socially responsible projects of other organizations or individuals, to which GhanaProNet can make sustainable contributions.

  • Oversee GhanaProNet�s philanthropic establishments and deeds.

  • Develop the strategic expansion, scope of influence, and community presence.

Event Planning Committee

The Event Planning Committee is established to coordinate all GhanaProNet events and programs. The committee is responsible for both the internal and external planning processes. Additionally, the committee sets up the guidelines, provide all the steps involved in planning and propose the optimum approach to achieving our objectives, subject to the executive committee�s review and approval.

Under the leadership of the Event Planning Chairperson, the Planning Committee will:

  • Organize GhanaProNet�s events and hosted activities.

  • Coordinate show flows.

  • Submit a comprehensive business proposal (including budget, timeline, venue and other logistical considerations) for each event.

  • Consist of at least one member of Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, and Development committees.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible for the fiscal management of GhanaProNet. The goal of the committee is to seek, develop, and propose modules or ideas that will maximize revenue and minimize cost, while maintaining high quality standards of goods and services.

Members of the Finance Committee will work under the leadership of the Chief Accounting Officer to:

  • Oversee and review financial transactions, fiscal policies.

  • Make recommendations to improve GhanaProNet�s financial status.

  • Outline fundraising initiatives.

  • Draw the organization�s annual budget.

Management Committee

The Management Committee is in charge of the human resource and structural components of GhanaProNet. This committee develops and modifies all legal documents of GhanaProNet and also oversees all contracts, agreements and procurements.

Under the leadership of the Chief Administrative Officer, members of the Management Committee will:

  • Oversee staffing initiatives.

  • Provide resources to effectively undertake respective roles and functions.

  • Codify and/or modify the constitution, as directed by the Executive Management.

  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures as well as highlight any inconsistencies.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as tax filing procedures and submission.

  • Design and implement efficient management systems.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee focuses on the branding of GhanaProNet. From maintaining social media platforms to advertisement tools, the committee will use cutting edge marketing techniques to continuously distinguish GhanaProNet from competitors and ensure that our goods and services corresponds to what the organization embodies.

Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, members of the Marketing Committee will:

  • Develop, promote, and advertise GhanaProNet�s brand.

  • Spearhead all technological initiatives.

  • Design and implement all marketing goals and strategies.

  • Manage vendor and client relations.

  • Forecast client/customer needs.

  • Track competitors� activities and research latest trends.

Public Relations Committee

The Public Relations Committee is charged with proactively gathering, coordinating, and disseminating information pertaining to GhanaProNet. The goal of the committee is to continually take steps that will promote positive publicity and avert negative outcomes. The committee is the organization�s mouthpiece and will handle all press and public related matters.

The Public Relations Committee under the leadership of the Director of Public Relations will:

  • Liaise between GhanaProNet and the general public while promoting its mission, vision and values.

  • Coordinate GhanaProNet�s publicity efforts.

  • Monitor public responses and criticism.

  • Enhance the good name and reputation of GhanaProNet.

  • Build mechanisms for attracting dynamic and energized new members and patrons.

Make a Donation or Pay Membership Dues

The GhanaProNet Foundation will serve as the philanthropic wing of the organization. Through the Foundation, GhanaProNet will sponsor sustainable initiatives that aim to make a positive impact on the cultural, social, educational and economic facets of our societies.

 

GhanaProNet is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization registered in the State of Maryland, USA.

Membership Dues and Payments.

The membership dues for GhanaProNet start at $10/month, $55 / 6 months or $100/year. 

Coporate membership is $350/year

 

You can make a donation to the GhanaProNet Foundation or pay membership dues in two ways:

  • By mail: All donations and payments(checks only) should be addressed to Ghana Global Professional Network and mailed to P.O Box 3366, Silver Spring, MD 20918-3366. Please provide a return mailing address that we can acknowledge receipt and thank you. Please note that GhanaProNet cannot accept cash donations by mail.
